Keeping the pace…

Tonight I ran with the Wildflower Olympic distance team at the usual meeting point at Tecolate Shores.  Goal was to do at least 4 miles, plus warm-up and cool-down.  In all, did more than 5 miles at an average pace of 11:11.  It isn’t a fast pace, but these base-building runs are supposed to be at “training pace” meaning that we should be able to hold a conversation while running.

I am making progress with keeping my pace steady (blue line), and my heart rate (red line) slowly increased during the run — no major spikes except at the end when we did a short sprint.
