Tonight is a coached swim session but after the way I feel from all the training this past weekend, I need to recover. My quads are really sore from the run up the hill at La Jolla Shores and the swim at the Shores took more out of me than I realized and hitting the brick on Saturday much harder than I should have isn’t helping the situation.
Training for three sports can be overwhelming. We have been coached to listen to our bodies and I am listening loud and clear. I really didn’t train as hard as I had planned — especially with the ocean swim, but I have been putting a lot of hours in at work and everything is coming to a head.
